Studio D'Artisan SD-DO1J "The Origin" Type 1 Denim Jacket One Wash Indigo

The “DO1” is known as Studio D’Artisan’s Genesis model — the pair that took the vintage denim scene by storm in the 1980s. Returning to their origins, SDA has meticulously studied archived examples to recreate the distinctive, uneven texture of the original fabric, woven with rough No. 6 yarn.

Taking craftsmanship even further, the yarns are dyed 20 times using the traditional Kasezome (skein-dyeing) method, carried out by veteran shokunin (craftsmen) in Tokushima. Featuring a classic Type 1 silhouette, the “Origin” jacket is finished with timeless details of vintage selvedge jackets from a bygone era.
