Benzak BP-06 Scout Pants Duck Canvas Selvedge Brown

Duck canvas is characterised by its tight weave and durability. This specific canvas fabric has been woven with two yarns together in the warp and a single yarn in the weft. The word ‘duck’ derives from the Dutch word ‘doek’ (meaning: cloth) and has a history older than blue jeans. Benzak´s 9 oz. selvedge duck canvas is light in weight, but strong, and therefore suitable for all-year wear. It has been woven on a shuttle loom with a wider reach, creating a wider-than-normal selvedge denim. To waste as less fabric as possible in cutting, they are only utilizing the selvedge on the front leg panels, and cut out the back leg panels from the middle of the fabric; this results in a half-selvedge, half-overlocked outseam construction.
